NextGenU.org now brings 4 years of uniquely offering courses for credit for free (sign up at www.NextGenU.org), registrants in 145 countries, a $16 million endowment, and funders and partners including AAPHP, ACPM, APTR, CDC, Harvard, NATO, Stanford, and WHO.  NextGenU.org has been tested in medical and public health students in the U.S. and Canada, and in community health workers and primary care physicians in Kenya, showing as much knowledge gain and greater student satisfaction than with traditional courses, positive effects on complex health worker behaviors (like counselling) and attitudes (like stigma), and the creation of an interactive global community of practice.

Today on 5 July 2016, the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) together with CAN Europe, WWF Europe and Sandbag have launched a joint report entitled Europe’s Dark Cloud: How coal-burning countries are making their neighbours sick.

 

The Pakistani Ministry of Climate Change, GoP, in collaboration with BRS Secretariat, Geneva, organized a two day Hazardous Waste Assessment National Workshop on “Environmentally Sound Management of Waste from Ship Recycling in Pakistan”.

ISDE-DB members from Asia Ms. Siddika Sultana (Bangladesh), Dr. Patnaik Gourishankar and Dr. Mahmood A. Khwaja participated in the Asian NGO Summit and Asian workshop on “Successful Strategies to Phase Down Amalgam use towards Mercury Free Dentistry".
